Privacy Policy

Effective: April 25, 2026 · Squintz LLC, Florida

1. Who we are

Squintz LLC ("Squintz", "we", "our", or "us") is a Florida limited liability company that operates squintz.ai and provides AI-assisted stock signal alerts. This policy explains in plain English what data we collect when you use our service, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@squintz.ai and we'll explain.

2. What we collect

We collect the following data when you use Squintz: • Email address — required to create an account and receive alerts. • Hashed password — never stored in plaintext; managed by Firebase Authentication. • Phone number (optional) — only if you opt in to SMS alerts on the Pro tier. • Trading preferences — sectors you care about, GRIPS threshold, price ceiling, notification settings. You set these; we use them to filter which alerts you receive. • Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or full bank details. We retain a Stripe customer ID and the subscription tier you're on. • Service usage data — which alerts you viewed on the dashboard, which features you used, basic page-load metrics. We use this to debug problems and improve the product. We do NOT collect: location data beyond IP-derived country/region, biometric data, contacts, social-graph data, browsing history outside squintz.ai, or anything from third-party trackers (we don't run any).

3. How we use it

We use your data only to operate the service and improve it. Specifically: • Deliver alerts that match the preferences you set. • Send service emails (account confirmations, billing notifications, weekly recaps) and SMS alerts (Pro tier only) via our delivery vendor. • Process subscription payments via Stripe. • Train and refine the GRIPS scoring algorithm using aggregated, anonymized signal-outcome data. Your individual account activity is not used to train the model. • Communicate with you when you contact support. We do NOT use your data to: sell to advertisers, sell to data brokers, build a profile to target you with third-party marketing, or share with anyone outside the third parties listed below.

4. Third parties we use

Squintz is a small business and we rely on infrastructure providers to operate. Each of them sees only what they need: • Firebase / Google Cloud — authentication and database. Stores your email, hashed password, preferences, and notification settings. • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. Stores billing details. We see only the Stripe customer ID, tier, and status. • Brevo (Sendinblue) — email and SMS delivery. Sees email and (if applicable) phone to deliver alerts. • Alpaca Markets — market data feed. We send Alpaca ticker symbols only; no user data. • Vercel — application hosting and CDN. Sees server logs (IP, user agent, request path). Each of these vendors has their own privacy policy and is contractually bound to use your data only to provide their service to us.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we keep account-and-billing records for 30 days for accounting purposes, then delete them. Aggregated, anonymized signal-outcome data may be retained longer for algorithm training, but it cannot be linked back to you after deletion. You can request immediate deletion at any time — see Section 7.

6. Cookies

We use one essential cookie: an authentication session cookie that keeps you signed in to your dashboard. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

7. Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can: • Access the data we have on you — email support@squintz.ai and we'll send a copy. • Correct inaccurate data — most data you can edit yourself in /account or /onboarding/preferences. For anything else, email us. • Delete your account and all associated personal data — email support@squintz.ai. We process deletion requests within 30 days. • Export your data in a portable format — email and we'll send a JSON dump. If you're a California resident, the CCPA also gives you the right to know what categories of personal information we sell (we sell none) and to request we don't sell it (already true). If you're in the EU/UK, GDPR applies and gives you the same rights plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. Children

Squintz is for users 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has signed up, email support@squintz.ai and we'll delete the account.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security: passwords are hashed via Firebase Authentication, all traffic is HTTPS-encrypted, payment processing is PCI-DSS compliant via Stripe, and access to production data is restricted to the founder. No system is perfectly secure — if you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and email support@squintz.ai.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects your rights, we'll email you at least 7 days before the change takes effect. Smaller clarifications get updated here without notification but the effective date at the top will change.

11. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints: support@squintz.ai. We respond within 48 hours during business days.
